Refund and Cancellation Policy

1. Introduction

At Egypt Golf Tour (“EGT”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), we aim to provide a premium and highly organized competitive golf experience. This comprehensive Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds, credits, or transfers are granted for tournament entry fees, event registrations, and associated services.

2. Standard Player Cancellation

If a player chooses to withdraw from an EGT tournament after successfully registering, refund eligibility is strictly determined by the date the official cancellation request is received:

• 14 Days or More Before the Event: Eligible for a 100% refund of the entry fee, minus a standard administrative and payment processing fee.
• 7 to 13 Days Before the Event: Eligible for a 50% refund of the entry fee.
• Less Than 7 Days Before the Event: Strictly non-refundable. At this stage, course fees, catering, and operational costs have been irreversibly committed.

3. Medical Withdrawals

We understand that unexpected injuries or severe illnesses occur. If a player must withdraw due to a documented medical emergency less than 7 days before the event, EGT may, at its sole discretion, offer a partial credit toward a future tournament. A valid medical certificate must be submitted within 48 hours of the cancellation request.

4. Registration Transfers

Players who are unable to attend may transfer their tournament registration to another eligible player, provided the request is submitted in writing at least 72 hours before the tournament’s first tee time. The substitute player must meet all tournament eligibility requirements and handicap criteria.

5. No-Shows and Mid-Tournament Withdrawals

Any player who fails to arrive for their designated tee time without prior written notice (a “No-Show”), or any player who voluntarily withdraws, retires, or is disqualified during the course of the tournament, forfeits their entire entry fee. No refunds or credits will be issued under these circumstances.

6. Cancellation by EGT

While rare, EGT reserves the right to cancel any tournament due to insufficient field size, extreme weather, unplayable course conditions, or other operational requirements.

• If a tournament is cancelled by EGT prior to the start of play, all registered players will receive a full 100% refund of their entry fees.
• If a tournament is cancelled after play has commenced but before an official result can be declared (e.g., severe weather mid-round), partial refunds or credits will be determined on a case-by-case basis depending on the host golf course’s policies.

7. Tournament Postponement and Rescheduling

If an event is postponed and moved to a new date, all current registrations will automatically be transferred to the new date. Players who are unable to compete on the rescheduled date must notify EGT in writing within 7 days of the postponement announcement to receive a full refund.

8. Additional Services and Add-Ons

Payments made for supplementary services, including but not limited to golf cart rentals, caddie fees, practice rounds, or guest banquet tickets, are subject to the same time-based cancellation tiers as tournament entry fees, unless otherwise dictated by the host venue’s specific policies.

9. Force Majeure

EGT shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performing obligations (including refunds) if such failure is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes acts of God, pandemics, government restrictions, national emergencies, or natural disasters. In such events, EGT will prioritize offering credits for future events once normal operations resume.

10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

By registering for an EGT event, players agree to this Refund Policy. Initiating an unjustified credit card chargeback for a non-refundable cancellation violates these terms. EGT reserves the right to dispute such chargebacks and may suspend the player’s EGT account until the outstanding balance and any associated bank fees are resolved.

11. Refund Processing Time and Method

All approved refunds will be credited back to the original payment method used during the initial transaction (e.g., specific credit card or bank account). Please allow 7 to 14 business days from the date of refund approval for the funds to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution’s processing times.

12. How to Submit a Request

To request a cancellation, refund, or registration transfer, players must contact the EGT support team in writing. Verbal requests or messages sent via unofficial social media channels will not be processed.
